A one-off ceramic mug built around your own photo and your own route — a walk that isn’t in the shop, one section of a longer trail, or a route you put together yourself.
What you get
- A wrap-around design: your photo next to a stylised map with start and finish, up to three waypoints and two place names.
- Your dates and two short lines of your own, around 40 characters each. Any of these can stay empty.
- An optional symbol — one from my own library, or one you supply that’s free to use. No trademarked logos.
- Ceramic mug, dishwasher and microwave safe.
You see the design before anything is printed, and two small revisions are part of the price.
What it costs depends on the map
Pick the option above that matches what you can give me. A GPX file is the cheapest option and the cleanest result — if your watch or your phone recorded the route, that’s the one to send. Longer than 1000 km: ask me for a quote first, through the form on the custom page.
How it works
- Order, and send me your photo and whatever you have on the route.
- I come back with a design. Usually one to two working days for the first reply; how fast it goes from there depends on your answers as much as on mine.
- You approve it. Nothing goes to print until you’re happy with what you’ve seen.
Before you order
Every custom keepsake carries a map of some kind — a trail, a route, or an outline with your places marked on it. That’s what makes it custom.
A custom keepsake is built around an image you bring — your photo, your own drawing, a picture that means something. I don’t produce artwork for it, and there’s no watercolor option here: the Watercolor Edition exists for the trails already in the shop. If you don’t have an image, a Milestone Keepsake is the better buy — and it’s cheaper.
Before I start on the design, either of us can still call it off — an email is enough. Once I have started, there’s no refund or cancellation, and once your design has gone to print, nothing about it can be changed.
Designed in France and printed in the EU, the US or Canada — whichever is closest to you.
Ordering more than one? Several keepsakes go in one order, with the same photo or a different one for each. Posting them together usually costs much less than posting them separately.
Made to order. You hear back from me within one to two working days, and nothing is printed until you have seen the design and said yes. For a date? Ask about the card insert.
